Since 2013, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the National Council on Aging have recommended Tai Chi practices.

Tai Chi for Rehabilitation will introduce the participant to the basic principals of Tai Chi by learning a series of movements that will be done slowly, coordinating breathing techniques with movements. You will become more aware of how you move, improve your stability by strengthening your legs and core and more confident by improving your health and well being.

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention builds upon the Rehabilitation program with longer forms that will improve strength, stamina and mental acuity.

Classes will be taught by Jeffrey Peezick, who is a board certified instructor by the Tai Chi for Health Institute. Jeffrey has studied Tai Chi for over 30 years and is one of the instructors at Siu Lum Academy. He has a Black Stripe ranking and has competed nationally and internationally in hand and weapon forms.
